Luis Betancourt, MD opened Mentus Health in Fort Myers to increase access to affordable and compassionate mental health treatment for clients of all ages. Dr. Betancourt has been specializing in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry for more than 25 years, and opened Mentus Health after spending much of his career in Charlotte, NC, training and working at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Betancourt’s treatment approach includes a combination of medication management and individualized psychotherapies, including an innovative ketamine therapy.
Dr. Betancourt can provide comprehensive psychiatric and psychological diagnostic evaluations, as well as evidenced and empirically based psychotherapy and medication management treatment services for children, adolescents, adults and families. Dr. Betancourt is fluent in English and Spanish.
Melissa Rice specializes in women’s health, LGBTQ+ care, and adolescence issues, as well as depression, anxiety and ADHD, with a focus on providing compassionate and inclusive treatment. She is dedicated to addressing the unique needs of her patients, offering personalized care plans that prioritize mental and physical well-being. Her expertise includes managing a wide range of women’s health issues, as well as providing affirming care for LGBTQ+ individuals and adolescents, ensuring they receive the respectful and informed support they deserve during critical stages of their lives.

Jaclyn Eastman is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Boston, Massachusetts, dedicated to providing patient-centered, integrative care that supports individuals on their journey back to wellness. Jaclyn has a deep passion for child and adolescent psychiatry and extends her empathetic care to patients of all ages.
