  Dr. Betancourt opened Mentus Health in Fort Myers to increase access to affordable and compassionate mental health treatment for clients of all ages. He has been specializing in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry for more than 25 years, and opened Mentus Health after spending much of his career in Charlotte, NC, training and working at Duke University Medical Center.

  Dr. Betancourt's treatment approach includes a combination of medication management and individualized psychotherapies, including an innovative ketamine therapy. He can provide comprehensive psychiatric and psychological diagnostic evaluations, as well as evidenced and empirically based psychotherapy and medication management treatment services for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Dr. Betancourt is fluent in English and Spanish.

  Jaclyn Eastman is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Boston, Massachusetts, dedicated to providing patient-centered, integrative care that supports individuals on their journey back to wellness. With a compassionate and collaborative approach, she partners with each patient and family to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals.

  Jaclyn has a deep passion for child and adolescent psychiatry and extends her empathetic care to patients of all ages. Her diverse medical experience, gained through traveling and practicing across the country, has shaped her holistic perspective and commitment to high-quality, personalized care. She provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy. Jaclyn is also a certified ADHD specialist.

  She specializes in treatment-resistant depression (TRD) and is REMS-certified to provide SPRAVATO® (esketamine) for appropriate adults in our supervised clinical setting.

  Alexandria Novytskyi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Supervisor in Florida who works with individuals, couples, and families navigating life's challenges with compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based care. Her approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and relational, with a focus on creating a space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered in their healing process.

  Alexandria draws from therapeutic approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, attachment-based work, somatic strategies, and couples counseling interventions to support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, relationship concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, and women's mental health challenges.

Her diverse clinical background allows her to deliver thoughtful, high-quality care that meets each patient's unique needs.

  Hadassah Rooney, PMHNP-BC practices as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a special interest in serving racial/ethnic minority children and adults. Her desire to address inequality in mental health drives her commitment to providing unbiased individualized care, which prioritizes the client’s needs.

  Hadassah received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, KY, and her undergraduate degree from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. She currently serves as a Board member for the Florida Chapter of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.

  With over 10 years of experience providing evidence-based care to populations across the lifespan, and specialized training concentrated on families in crisis, her skill set is tailored to treat mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and substance use disorder.

  Registered Clinical Social Work Intern

  Allison Horn, RCSWI is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern in Florida who works with adolescents, young adults, individuals, couples, and families. She provides a supportive, nonjudgmental environment focused on helping clients build confidence, develop coping skills, and navigate life’s challenges.

  Allison has a particular interest in adolescents, young adults, and neurodivergent individuals, supporting concerns related to anxiety, emotional regulation, relationships, executive functioning, self-esteem, and life transitions. She also has experience in crisis assessment and stabilization, including supporting individuals experiencing psychosis.

  She utilizes CBT, DBT, and somatic strategies, tailoring treatment to each client’s individual needs and strengths. Allison’s approach is genuine, collaborative, and compassionate.

  Administrative Operations

  Bocaccio Betancourt is a dedicated business professional at Mentus Behavioral Health, where he supports administrative operations, patient communication, insurance coordination, billing, and revenue cycle processes. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised with strong values of hard work, service, and community, Bocaccio brings a professional and patient-centered approach to his role.

  He graduated from Marvin Ridge High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is currently finalizing his International Business degree through Florida International University and UNIBE. HIPAA certified and trained in Fraud, Waste, and Abuse compliance, Bocaccio is committed to providing organized, respectful, and reliable support to patients and the Mentus team.
