ADHD Treatment & Testing in Fort Myers
Whether you’re an adult struggling with focus, organization, procrastination, overwhelm, anxiety, or depression — or a parent concerned that your child may have ADHD — getting an accurate diagnosis is the first step toward meaningful improvement.
Comprehensive ADHD testing, diagnosis, and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.

A clear path forward
At Mentus Health, we provide comprehensive ADHD testing, diagnosis, and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. Many individuals live with undiagnosed ADHD for years, often attributing symptoms to stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, or difficulty keeping up with daily responsibilities. Our goal is to help identify the root cause and create a clear, personalized path forward.
Comprehensive ADHD Evaluation & Testing
Accurate ADHD diagnosis requires more than a brief questionnaire. Our providers conduct in-depth psychiatric evaluations that review symptoms, medical history, emotional health, and day-to-day functioning. When appropriate, we may also use standardized ADHD testing to support diagnostic clarity.
Because ADHD commonly co-occurs with conditions such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and chronic stress, we take a comprehensive approach that evaluates the full clinical picture — not just attention-related symptoms.
One of the key benefits of Mentus Health is that evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and therapy are all available within the same integrated team. This eliminates the need to coordinate care across multiple providers and ensures a smoother, more consistent treatment experience.

Medication Management
ADHD treatment is highly individualized. At Mentus Health, we develop treatment plans based on each patient’s symptoms, goals, age, and any co-occurring conditions. Treatment may include medication management, therapy, behavioral strategies, or a combination of approaches. We offer both stimulant and non-stimulant medication options and take time to educate patients and families so they can make informed decisions.
For adults who are new to treatment or hesitant about medication, we provide a supportive, pressure-free environment to discuss concerns, expectations, and options.
For children and adolescents, treatment is developed in close collaboration with parents or caregivers. We consider academic performance, emotional regulation, behavior at home and school, and developmental needs. If medication is prescribed, we closely monitor progress and adjust as needed to ensure effectiveness and tolerability.
Therapy & Behavioral Strategies
Medication is only one part of ADHD care. Our therapy services focus on building long-term skills that support daily functioning. We use evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), to help patients improve focus, organization, time management, emotional regulation, and procrastination. Treatment may also include executive function coaching, coping strategies, and parent support to help reinforce positive changes at home and school.
ADHD in Adults & Children
ADHD can look very different depending on age.
Adults
In adults, ADHD is often underdiagnosed and may present as chronic overwhelm, difficulty staying organized, poor time management, impulsivity, racing thoughts at night or immediately when you wake up, or relationship challenges. Many adults only recognize ADHD after years of feeling like they are working harder than others just to keep up.
Children & teens
In children and teens, ADHD commonly affects attention, behavior, emotional regulation, and academic performance. It can also impact peer relationships and self-esteem. Without proper support, children may begin to internalize struggles as personal failures rather than symptoms of a treatable condition. Early intervention can make a meaningful difference in long-term outcomes.
